on to a winner with electronic guestbook
Sutton Coldfield-based Wedding Messages was Highly Commended in the New Business of the Year award. It was founded just six months ago by Richard Blackmore and his father Paul after Richard came up with the concept of an electronic wedding guestbook at his sister's wedding in August 2007. The idea was so popular that guests at the wedding were asking if they could hire the system for their own weddings and he realised there was a new gap in the internet market. |

Richard and his father attended their first wedding fair in February 2008 and knew from the reaction that they were on to a winner. Paul said: "The "Messenger" has been developed using the latest image rendering and capture technology and this ensures a high quality album for showing the messages. |
| The integration of classical and modern styles have been cleverly combined into a package that fits into any environment. A continual development of the Messenger and its systems ensures that Wedding Message is at the cutting edge of technology. The company has plans to extend the wedding service into other areas where the Messenger can be used to capture guests messages and photos. They have already attended a fair aimed at the school prom market. Party messages are also being pushed in the marketplace with special attention to anniversaries and special date birthdays.
